Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a Technology Legal Attorney to serve as a subject matter expert on AI, data governance, privacy, and regulatory issues. Based in New York or Dallas, you will advise on AI procurement, development, and integration across firm products and services while addressing data used in model training.

You will work with a global team of lawyers to cover AI, data protection, cybersecurity, sourcing, and regulatory compliance, providing strategic guidance and robust risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with bar admission.
• Experience handling AI, data protection, and regulatory matters.
• Knowledge of GDPR and global data-protection regimes.
• Strong analytical and research skills; ability to work with cross-border teams.

Responsibilities

• Advise Engineering Division and business units on AI regulation and governance.
• Provide legal support for AI applications and model development.
• Advise on emerging AI laws with focus on personal data processing; EU AI Act awareness.
• Support integration of AI into products/services and assess enterprise risk.
• Collaborate with privacy, cybersecurity, outsourcing and IP experts on strategic initiatives.
• Provide global legal guidance on AI, privacy, data governance and cybersecurity.
