Job summary

Manifest OS is seeking an Associate General Counsel to wear multiple hats across ethics, privacy, AI regulation, and commercial contracts. You’ll own systems for legal risk, vendor relationships, and compliance while partnering with product, engineering, and operations.

You’ll draft contracts, advise on partnerships, and support visa petitions and sponsorships. You’ll also experiment with AI tools to automate reviews and build scalable workflows in a fast-growing company based in New York.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years practicing law, from a firm to in-house or GC/AGC at a startup.
• Experience in legal ethics, employment law, commercial and SAAS contracts.
• Hands-on visa petitions, sponsorships, compliance audits, hiring global talent.
• Understanding AI and privacy law, GDPR/CCPA knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Lead privacy and AI compliance programs; translate requirements into guidance.
• Review vendor contracts, negotiate customer agreements, advise on partnerships.
• Support M&A or fundraising; be the go-to lawyer for cross-functional teams.
• Experiment with AI tools to automate reviews and build scalable workflows.
• Draft contracts and filings, shaping risk management and processes.
