Job summary

Mizuho is seeking a Regulatory Reporting professional in New York focused on futures-related disclosures and securities regulatory reporting. You will prepare daily net capital computations, capital charges, and weekly/monthly regulatory filings, collaborating with multiple groups to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Regulatory or Accounting experience in the financial industry.
• Series 27 must be obtained prior or after employment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Microsoft Excel proficient.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily 15c3-1 net capital computation for US regulated entities.
• Compute moment-to-moment capital charges on underwriting deals and track confirmed underwriting deals.
• Prepare weekly regulatory capital computation for foreign entities (Canada, UK, Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong).
• Prepare the monthly and quarterly regulatory reports.
• Perform variance analysis of the trial balance to ensure adequacy of accounting records.
• Coordinate with multiple groups across the organization to confirm financial data and static data for regulatory reports.
• Maintain/update procedure documentation related to new regulatory requirements to ensure firm’s compliance.
• Participate in the research and implementation of new and revised regulatory reporting requirements.
• Ad hoc projects and reporting, as requested.
