Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data analytics intern to support the Process Excellence & Operations team in New Jersey. You will collect, model, and clean large data sets, apply statistical methods, and help establish dashboards and KPIs for internal customers.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration and ad-hoc reporting in a team environment. You will gain exposure to risk systems maintenance, GSMG procedures, and supplier manufacturing improvements while developing new skills on the job.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. degree in Engineering, Science, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical or Biochemistry
• Ability to work in the NJ/PA area for 4–6 months
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Preferred: strong data collection, analysis, and reporting skills
• Preferred: project management experience
• Willingness to learn new skills on the job
• No visa sponsorship available
• No valid driving license required

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of the Process Excellence & Operations team
• Complete project-related tasks and assist with risk systems maintenance
• Support compliance plans and initiatives
• Review and update GSMG procedures and documents, including contract clauses
• Assist with preparation and delivery of Risk & Compliance training
• Maintain risk-related information in GSMG risk systems and protect data quality and integrity
• Collect and model large amounts of data
• Filter and clean existing data
• Explore data structures, definitions, and anomalies
• Interpret data, analyze results, and draw conclusions using statistical methodologies and mathematical formulas
• Use SpotFire, R, and/or Python for analytics
• Implement creative solutions to problems
• Collaborate with internal customers to establish dashboards and KPIs
• Participate in long-term project work and perform ad-hoc reporting requests
• Work with internal stakeholders in a team environment
• Improve supplier manufacturing processes and gain exposure to global procurement functions
