  • Currently in sophomore or junior level curriculum

  • Prior pharmaceutical industry or Fortune 500 company experience preferred
  • Experience with SharePoint or similar collaboration websites preferred
  • Experience with TIBCO Spotfire or other data analytics/visualization tools preferred
  • Experience using Excel to manage large data sets preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support strategic and operating objectives for procurement, including product sourcing, supply risk management, supplier performance improvement, cost reduction, supplier diversity development, working capital improvement, and supplier relationship management
  • Work with Legal, Finance, Procure-to-Pay, internal stakeholders, and external suppliers
  • Conduct detailed market, supplier, and supply market analyses
  • Implement procurement efforts and tactical procurement processes
  • Serve as a resource for procurement processes, procedures, and systems
  • Support supplier selection and ensure savings, service levels, and legal contract requirements
  • Manage external relationships and support contract negotiations and supplier communications
  • Enforce Global Procurement policies and procedures using data-driven business cases
  • Construct cost models and purchase price analyses
  • Monitor supplier performance, investigate root causes, manage issues, and assess and mitigate risks
  • Conduct strategic project analysis, including portfolio analysis, supplier referencing, and Day One Sourcing
  • Prepare monthly financial analysis and reporting for spend, savings, compliance, and other metrics
  • Support annual budget and profit planning and maintain financial reporting systems, including SAP
  • Create pre-negotiation plans, participate in supplier negotiations, and conduct post-negotiation debriefs
  • Create and execute RFIs, RFPs, and e-Auctions
  • Conduct risk assessments and establish supply-base mitigation plans
  • Participate in category teams and contribute to cost-reduction strategies
  • Share learnings and high-quality work with colleagues throughout GSMG
