Qualifications

  • Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully on cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including clear and concise presentations.
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences in communication.
  • Experience with SharePoint and Enterprise Social Media, specifically Yammer.
  • Familiarity with principles of business communication, marketing and/or journalism.
  • Strong data collection, analysis and reporting skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with flexibility and adaptability in ambiguous and dynamic situations.
  • Quick learner motivated to cultivate technical, business and commercial skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

  • Support strategic and operating objectives for procurement, including product sourcing
  • Work with Legal, Finance, Procure-to-Pay, internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Conduct detailed market, supplier and supply market analyses using facts and data
  • Implement procurement strategies and execute tactical procurement processes
  • Serve as a resource for procurement processes, procedures and systems
  • Support supplier selection to ensure savings and service levels
  • Ensure legal contract requirements are met
  • Manage relationships with selected external contacts
  • Enforce Global Procurement policies and procedures using data-driven business cases
  • Gather market intelligence and prepare and conduct strategic analyses
  • Support pre-negotiation planning, RFIs, RFPs/Qs and e-auctions
  • Perform quotation analysis, cost modeling, financial solvency analysis and risk assessments
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues
  • Support budget planning and ongoing spend, savings and compliance reporting
  • Support digitization and data analytics initiatives
  • Construct detailed cost models and purchase price analyses; supplier visits may be required for cost-structure understanding
  • Prepare category spend, savings, compliance and other metrics reporting, including maintaining SAP financial reporting and management systems
  • Create pre-negotiation plans, participate in supplier negotiations and conduct post-negotiation follow-up
  • Conduct risk assessments covering financial solvency, FCPA and Business Partner Code of Conduct compliance
  • Participate in category teams and contribute to cost-reduction strategies
  • Generate high-quality work and share learnings with GSMG colleagues
