Job summary

Parker’s Kitchen in Charleston, SC is seeking a Store Leader in Training to develop leadership skills while assisting the Store Leader in managing day-to-day operations, including gasoline, retail, and food service.

You will cover for the Store Leader within the district, gaining hands-on experience that prepares you for a future promotion to Store Leader. This role emphasizes coaching, training, and exceptional customer service to drive store performance.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in a retail operation or Parker’s or the equivalent.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to work in store operations.
• Completion of Food Safety Certification within the first month of employment is required.
• Completion of a skills-based certification within the first 120 days of employment is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and address customer needs promptly and professionally.
• Assist Store Leader with training and coaching team members to maintain high service standards and a welcoming atmosphere.
• Assist in leading, planning, and organizing store operations including gasoline, retail, and food service.
• Support Store Leader in managing staff, delegating tasks, and ensuring training and motivation.
• Step in for Store Leader during vacations and absences to gain promotion-ready experience.
• Foster a positive work environment through communication, conflict resolution, and teamwork.
• Manage daily store operations including inventory, ordering, and stocking.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and productivity goals.
• Assist in managing store budgets and expenses to support profitability.
• Monitor sales and performance to achieve financial targets and cash handling accuracy.
