Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is offering an Assistant Manager Trainee Program designed to prepare current employees for a Store Management role within 18-24 months. The program includes an 6-8 week initial training, with a typical 44-hour work week that may include evenings or weekends.

During the program you will learn operations, sales, and leadership skills by collaborating with store management to oversee a million-dollar business and develop strategy for growth in large commercial accounts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age or older.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Complete training as per the program.
• Support strategies to increase sales and profitability.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Develop product knowledge to make effective recommendations to customers.
• Build relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
• Complete store administration tasks.
• Ensure compliance with safety, loss prevention, and security policies.
• Maintain store condition and merchandising standards, including displays.
• Assist in employee training, development, and performance management.
• Respond to customer and/or employee complaints; collaborate with Store Manager on outside sales opportunities.
