Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking an Assembly Test Implementation Engineer to oversee SPARC assembly test activities from preparation through closure, ensuring safety and compliance with standards.

You will collaborate with technicians to conduct pre-test reviews, build test setups, and guide issues to resolution while maintaining strict safety and regulatory adherence in a high-hazard environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field required.
• 5 years of equivalent engineering experience.
• Previous testing experience with hazards and high voltage.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• NFPA 70E compliance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Onsite 5 days/week when assembly operations with tools are underway.
• Work in an environment with industrial hazards including high voltage and cryogenics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, execute, and close out SPARC assembly test activities.
• Review and approve test procedures and instructions for scope and risk.
• Collaborate with the technician team for pre-test walkdowns and scope validation.
• Develop test equipment and mock-ups for training and derisking.
• Maintain safety standards and adhere to regulatory requirements.
