Job summary

Havertys Furniture Company in Longview, TX is seeking a Furniture Delivery Driver Assistant to join our delivery team. You will deliver and set up furniture in customers’ homes, operating the vehicle safely and on schedule to meet expectations.

This role offers a starting pay of $18.50 per hour with experience, daily pay options, and opportunities for advancement. Shifts typically start at 7:30 am and run 4–5 days per week, excluding Sundays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• No delivery experience required but preferred; training provided.
• Must have a current Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
• Must be willing and able to push, pull, and repeatedly lift 150 pounds.
• Must be able to achieve DOT Certification (company paid).
• Must pass background checks and drug screen including THC testing.
• Uniforms provided; steel-toed boots/shoes required; safety gear when applicable.
• Shifts start at 7:30 am and routes may be 4 or 5 days per week, not Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Operate the delivery vehicle safely and courteously.
• Deliver and set up furniture in customers’ homes.
• Maintain performance by meeting the customer delivery time window.
• Document delivery transactions using mobile device or paper.
• Assist in warehouse or showroom as needed.
