Job summary

Havertys Furniture Companies, Inc. is seeking a Furniture Delivery Driver Assistant to join our team of delivery drivers. You will be responsible for the delivery and setup of merchandise in customers’ homes and must thrive in a team‑oriented environment that values customer service, integrity, quality and teamwork.

Starting pay is $23.00–$25.00 per hour, with higher rates based on experience. Shifts begin at 7:30 am and may run 4–5 days per week, with Sundays off.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• No delivery experience required but preferred; training provided.
• Must be able to push, pull, and repeatedly team lift 150 pounds throughout your shift.
• Must be able to pass background requirements and drug screen including DOT testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate the delivery vehicle safely and courteously.
• Deliver and set up furniture in customers’ homes.
• Maintain delivery times within customer windows.
• Accurately document the delivery using mobile device or paperwork.
• Unload/load furniture as needed at customers’ homes, stores, or warehouse.
• Assist in warehouse or showroom as needed.
