Job summary

Havertys is seeking bright, energetic individuals to join our Furniture Delivery Driver Assistant team. You will deliver and install furniture in customers’ homes and communicate clearly to ensure on-time, courteous service.

Starting pay is $21.00 per hour, with higher rates based on experience. Shifts begin at 7:30 am and run 4 or 5 days per week, with Sundays off. Daily Pay is available and a full benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• No delivery experience required but preferred; training provided.
• Must have a current Driver’s License and a clean driving record with minimal moving violations.
• Must be willing and able to push, pull, and repeatedly lift 150 pounds.
• Must be able to achieve DOT Certification (company paid).
• Must pass background requirements and drug screen including THC testing.
• Uniforms provided; steel-toed boots/shoes required; safety gear when applicable.
• Shifts start at 7:30 am and may run 4 or 5 days per week, Sundays off.

Responsibilities

• Operate the delivery vehicle safely when needed.
• Deliver and set up furniture in customers’ homes.
• Maintain high performance by meeting delivery time windows.
• Document the delivery using mobile device or paperwork.
• Load/unload furniture at customer homes, stores, or warehouse.
• Assist in warehouse or showroom as needed.
