Job summary

Havertys Furniture in Colonial Heights, VA is seeking a Furniture Delivery Driver Assistant to join our delivery team. You will be responsible for delivering and setting up merchandise in customers' homes, ensuring safety and on-time service.

Shifts start at 7:30 am with 4–5 days per week (no Sundays). Pay starts at $19.50–$23.50 per hour, with potential for growth, daily pay options, and a rich benefits package including 401K, health, dental, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• No delivery experience required but preferred; training provided.
• Must have a current Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
• Must be willing and able to push, pull, and repeatedly lift up to 150 pounds.
• Must pass background requirements and drug screen including THC testing.
• DOT Certification will be provided and paid by the company.
• Uniforms and safety gear are provided as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the delivery vehicle safely and courteously.
• Deliver and set up furniture in customers’ homes.
• Maintain delivery time windows and document transactions.
• Unload/load product at homes, stores, or warehouse as needed.
• Assist in warehouse or showroom when required.
• Draw pay daily via Daily Pay Program.
