Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant at our Saint Paul, MN location. The role involves clerical support, assisting with services, and coordinating with families.

You will greet clients, help with arrangements, and handle office tasks in a respectful, compassionate environment. The position is part-time (about 20 hours per week) with a focus on customer service, teamwork, and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases; ability and willingness to learn required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services by delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and other keepsakes.
• Prepares documents related to services, cremations, and maintenance as directed by management.
• Assists with preparation of remains and operation of crematory as permitted by law.
• Performs office duties including answering phones, using fax, computer, phone system, and other equipment.
• Runs errands for supplies and deliveries as needed.
• Acts as usher and may park cars or handle transportation requirements.
• Drives funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups.
• Ensures refreshments are available where allowed by law.
• Assists with visitations, memorial and funeral services including setup and dressing remains.
• Greets clients and provides information at the office.
• Accommodates family needs during services and visitations.
