Bustard & Jacoby Funeral Home is seeking a dedicated transporter to assist with care, removal, and transport of human remains in a respectful, compliant manner. You will work within a professional team to ensure secure handling, proper vehicle maintenance, and adherence to policies and safety standards.

The role emphasizes sensitive interactions with grieving families, strong organizational skills, and reliability in a field requiring compassion and discretion. Physical stamina is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read, write and speak English fluently. Bilingual is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport the deceased from hospital, nursing facility, residence, or prep areas to the mortuary or funeral home.
• Maintain the transport vehicle with proper PPE and cleanliness; ensure supplies are stocked.
• Perform duties in accordance with company policies and procedures; support team collaboratively.
• Other duties as assigned; demonstrate teamwork, organization, and professional conduct.
• Demonstrate empathy and tact when engaging with client families and staff.
