Legacy Funeral Group in Abilene, TX seeks a Funeral Home and Cemetery Sales Manager to drive revenue and lead Family Service Professionals and Advanced Planning Professionals. You will coordinate sales efforts, coach staff, and ensure compliant practices while partnering with the VP and general management.

The role emphasizes community engagement, budget planning for pre-need sales, and a focus on prompt, compassionate service to families.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years funeral sales management experience preferred.
• Texas Life insurance license preferred.
• 1-3 years experience as Family Service Professional or Advanced Planning Professional preferred.
• History of community, civic, volunteer work in the market.
• Knowledge of computers and some software.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for interacting with grieving families and stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate with coworkers and departments.

Responsibilities

• Coach Family Service Professionals and Advanced Planning Professionals as primary reference for customer service, sales knowledge, pricing and paperwork.
• Schedule, lead distribution, follow up and manage sales team activities.
• Generate sales leads through community networking, partner with businesses and co-ordinate group seminars.
• Assist VP in developing annual location pre-need sales budget and ensure budget is met.
• Ensure 24-hour response to customer complaints and coach staff accordingly.
• Lead performance planning for professionals and monitor attendance and performance.
• Hire, discipline, train and place Family Service Professionals and Advanced Planning Professionals.
• Communicate progress to General Manager and Cemetery VP.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations including No Call laws.
