Job summary

Paycom is seeking an experienced manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a funeral home and associated cemeteries. The role requires a licensed funeral director with at least five years of professional experience and a minimum of three years in management, or completion of a dedicated management training program.

You will meet with bereaved families to arrange services and merchandise, ensure compassionate, professional execution of funerals, and supervise staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Licensed funeral director in the state where the funeral home exists.
• Minimum 5 years as a licensed funeral director, with 3 years in management or completion of specific management training.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of the funeral home and cemeteries; ensures staff are trained and compliant with regulations.
• Meets with bereaved families to arrange funeral services and merchandise selections.
• Ensures compassionate and professional funeral services and arrangements are conducted.
• Maintains building, equipment and vehicles.
• Prepares routine and special reports for the home office.
• Purchases and maintains stock; negotiates with vendors and resolves disputes.
• Represents the organization at community events and functions.
• Keeps up-to-date with regulatory changes affecting operations; attends seminars and meetings.
• Acts as liaison with local/state/federal agencies; provides reports and investigates complaints.
• Trains, supervises and motivates funeral home staff.
• Drives funeral service and transfer vehicles as required.
