Job summary

Everstory Partners seeks a Funeral Manager to plan, organize, direct and supervise the general activities of the funeral home. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who understands providing families with options in their time of need.

You will lead funeral directors, coordinate with agencies, oversee administrative services, and drive growth through marketing efforts while ensuring compliance with laws. Travel, scheduling, and compassionate leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the operations of a Funeral Home.
• Licensed funeral director and embalmer or ability to obtain state license.
• Degree from an accredited school of embalming or mortuary science; business degree preferred.
• 1 year of supervisory or management experience.
• Proven leadership, customer service, sales and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise, motivate, and train personnel.
• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle; mileage reimbursement.
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Direct all activities related to funeral services and supervise directors.
• Oversee administrative and support services; embalming, repairs, and expenditures.
• Plan and implement strategies to increase client base, including marketing.
• Coordinate with government agencies and service organizations.
• Represent the company on follow-up services and handle complaints and contracts.
• Manage work schedules for funeral home personnel.
• Deal with vendors of funeral service supplies.
• Maintain knowledge of funeral laws and policies.
• Embalming and other tasks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
