Job summary

SCI is seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to oversee the daily financial and administrative functions for a funeral home, cemetery and related operations in California. You will supervise accounting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, audits, and vendor management while coordinating with location leadership to ensure accuracy and profitability.

The role requires experience in bookkeeping, strong communication, confidentiality, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Two years bookkeeping or accounts payable experience required.
• Experience with SOX compliance preferred.
• Strong MS Office skills and familiarity with computerized accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting function
• Manage collections and payments of accounts receivable
• Verify and pay accounts payable invoices
• Maintain cash receipts, deposits and petty cash
• Prepare and audit payroll-related processes and time cards
• Prepare monthly operational and financial reports
