Job summary

SCI is seeking a Cemetery Location Manager in Santa Ana, CA to manage daily operations of a single cemetery location within the funeral home industry. Drive short- and long-term plans, oversee staff, control costs, and meet revenue and production targets while delivering exemplary service to client families.

Responsibilities include financial planning with leadership, supervising frontline staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and pursuing process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical schooling diploma or Mortuary Science preferred.
• Cemetery License needed or able to obtain one.
• Minimum five (5) years industry experience in the applicable discipline with progressively increased responsibilities.
• Minimum (2) years of experience managing people or projects.
• Budgeting and expense control experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual business plan and budget with financial, production and revenue goals.
• Monitor and achieve annual financial goals.
• Manage daily activities ensuring on-time services.
• Assure compliance with federal/state regulations and company policies.
• Establish location goals and priorities; communicate strategies to staff.
• Manage frontline supervisors and collaborate with management on improvements.
• Coordinate with Market Leadership and Corporate for resource sharing and needs.
• Ensure buildings and grounds are well-maintained and within budget.
