Job summary

Service Corporation International in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Operations Market Scheduler to oversee scheduling of transportation resources and staff for funeral home and care center operations.

You will coordinate removal and transportation work orders, dispatch vehicles, enter data into our proprietary software, and ensure vehicles and supplies are maintained and stocked. Strong communication, detail orientation, and 3+ years scheduling experience required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Current state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Three years scheduling or logistics experience.
• Knowledge of the company’s service promise, services, policies and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and organize with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Proficient MS Office suite and database software; familiarity with automated workflows.

Responsibilities

• Dispatching and handling paperwork; receives first call and logs information.
• Enter information into proprietary software and contact Removal Technician.
• Review paperwork for completeness and accuracy; resolve issues with technicians.
• Create transportation and removal work and on-call schedules for visitations, services, transfers, and removals.
• Schedule vehicles and staff, considering time off, holidays and seasonal volumes.
• Review and revise work schedules with Field Leadership; post and communicate changes.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained, clean, stocked, and fuel procedures followed.
• Procurement of supplies and PPE; maintain inventory; source vendors as needed.
