Job summary

Service Corporation International seeks a Funeral Arranger in Whittier, CA. You will coordinate mortuary and cemetery arrangements, ensure compliance, and provide compassionate service to families. Licensing preferences include Funeral Director or Notary with strong regulatory knowledge and sales aptitude.

You will train in Rose Hills processes, manage paperwork, and collaborate across departments while upholding company standards and a high level of professionalism.

Qualifications

• Five years in mortuary/cemetery industry with funeral ceremony knowledge; three years arranging funerals preferred.
• Licensed Funeral Director or notary exam pass preferred.
• CFDA arranger tests or equivalent with 75%+ score.
• Notary license required or to be obtained.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Professionalism, customer service, and willingness to help others.
• Sales experience or strong customer service background.
• Two years of college; AA degree preferred.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete Rose Hills At-Need training with hands-on instruction and cross training.
• Demonstrate depth of knowledge in products, policies, and regulations.
• Complete funeral and cemetery arrangements with accuracy and compassion; manage case paperwork and follow-through.
• Present and sell Rose Hills products and services per company objectives.
• Maintain positive relationships with coworkers and cross-functional departments.
• Support Rose Hills Family Service Program.
• Show compassion, empathy, integrity, and willingness to help others.
• Provide notary services for official documents in the arrangements process.
• Adhere to dress code and department attire requests.
• Keep supervisor informed of issues; take corrective action when needed.
• Adhere to company policies, rules, and controls.
• Follow safety rules and report unsafe practices.
• Address customer complaints to provide satisfactory resolutions.
• Adhere to attendance policy and report to work on time.
