Job summary

Rose Hills is seeking a Funeral Service Coordinator to meet with families, arrange mortuary and cemetery goods and services, and ensure final disposition meets policy and regulatory standards. The role requires compassion, accuracy, and strong customer service during sensitive arrangements.

The candidate should have five years in mortuary/cemetery work, a licensed Funeral Director or equivalent, and be able to perform notary duties.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience in the mortuary/cemetery industry, with knowledge of funeral ceremonies and practices, including arranging funerals.
• Licensed Funeral Director (or pass the California Funeral Directors Exam) and/or licensed Embalmer.
• Must pass CFDA Arrangers Test or equivalent and complete CFDA Funeral Arrangers Course.
• Must pass exam to become a licensed notary.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of professionalism, customer service and willingness to help others.
• Two years of college; AA degree preferred.
• Bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Meet with families and arrange mortuary and cemetery goods and services for final disposition.
• Present and sell Rose Hills' products and services.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and company policies.
• Complete funeral and cemetery arrangements with accuracy and compassion.
• Provide notary services for official documents and complete arrangements.
