Job summary

The Power Pause seeks a Development Associate based in New York City to support fundraising efforts. This role involves research for prospective funding, maintaining donor databases, and assisting with grant submissions.

The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, possess administrative skills, and have experience with donor databases. The position offers $22.00 per hour, up to 17 hours a week, with benefits including paid sick leave.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative or development roles.
• Experience with donor database management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research and make recommendations for prospective funding.
• Assist with sponsorship, grant, and funding submissions.
• Maintain trackers and databases for institutional giving.
• Attend meetings and take notes as necessary.
• Enter and maintain donor contributions in the database.
• Write and send timely acknowledgment letters to donors.
• Generate reports from the donation database as needed.
• Provide donor analytics and financial reporting.
• Assist with events as needed.
• Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned.

Skills

Commitment to and nuanced understanding of the mission and goals of Tanenbaum

Experience with Donor Perfect or similar donor database

Excellent administrative and computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Ability to think strategically, analyze data, and present analysis clearly

Effective and creative writing skills

Highly organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated

Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems

Flexibility to work both independently and collaboratively
