Job summary

The American Heart Association in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Development Director to drive revenue for the Heart Walk fundraising campaign. You will cultivate local corporate sponsorships and individual donations, build partnerships, and lead volunteers and fundraising events.

This role offers a base salary with incentive potential up to 25% of pay, a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, and access to training and resources to help you grow.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of fundraising, sales, or related experience.
• University/College degree or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel daily locally and some overnight trips; reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift/move large objects when needed; teamwork may be required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by securing local corporate sponsorships and individual donations.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of sponsors and donors through targeted research.
• Develop and present proposals and materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
• Recruit and manage executive volunteer leadership, committees, and day-of-event volunteers.
• Recruit corporate team participation in Heart Walk and motivate fundraising teams.
• Lead engagement of Cor Vitae giving society and plan engagement events.
• Plan and execute events in collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Collaborate with Communications Director to support campaign communications.
