Job summary

The American Heart Association is hiring a Development Director in Southern Arizona, supporting the Heart Walk and related fundraising initiatives in Tucson and surrounding communities.

In this fast-paced, revenue-driven role, you will prospect corporate sponsors and individual donors, build a strong pipeline, and lead volunteer groups to achieve annual fundraising goals while advocating for heart and brain health.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or other related experience.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorship and individual donations. Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners and donors.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective corporate sponsors and donors through research aligned to campaign goals.
• Develop and present proposals and materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
• Recruit and oversee executive volunteer leadership, committees, and day-of-the-event volunteers.
• Recruit corporate team participation in Heart Walk and motivate team members to fundraise.
• Lead engagement events for Cor Vitae giving society members.
• Plan events in collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Support campaign communications plans with the Communications Director.
