Job summary

The American Heart Association in Fresno is hiring a Development Director in a hybrid role. The position drives revenue for the Heart Walk campaign, builds corporate sponsorships and donor relationships, and develops proposals to secure funding while engaging volunteers and corporate teams.

The role requires 3 years of fundraising or related experience, a degree or equivalent, and the ability to travel locally with occasional overnight trips.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or related field.
• University/College degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel locally daily and some overnight trips; reliable transportation required.
• Ability to lift and move large objects; heavier items may need assistance.
• Basic knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorships and individual donations.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective sponsors and donors.
• Develop and present proposals and materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
• Recruit and manage executive volunteer leadership and day-of-event volunteers.
• Recruit corporate team participation in Heart Walk and motivate fundraising efforts.
• Plan and implement events with partners and support campaign communications.
