Job summary

The American Heart Association, Inc. in Salt Lake City is seeking a Development Director to drive revenue for the Heart Walk campaign by cultivating corporate sponsorships and donor relationships.

You will build a robust pipeline, present compelling proposals, and recruit volunteers to ensure successful events and campaigns. Based in our Salt City division, the role blends field work, home office flexibility, and time at our Salt Lake City office.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or related field
• University/College degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to travel locally and some overnight trips; reliable transportation
• Ability to lift/move large objects as needed; may require assistance
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorships and individual donations; achieve revenue goals
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective sponsors and donors
• Develop and present proposals to secure revenue and volunteer engagement
• Recruit and lead executive volunteer committees and day-of-the-event volunteers
• Recruit corporate team participation in Heart Walk and motivate fundraising
• Lead engagement in Cor Vitae giving society and plan events for members
• Plan and implement events with internal and external partners
• Collaborate with Communications Director to support campaign plans
