Job summary

Oakland Zoo is seeking an Individual Giving Coordinator to support fundraising programs that solicit one-time and renewable gifts for the Zoo’s annual operating budget, capital projects, and programmatic initiatives. The role drives donor investment and positions the Zoo as a leader in animal wellbeing, conservation, and education.

The position collaborates with teams to execute events, campaigns, and donor recognition, and to maintain donor collateral and stewardship plans.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with donors, prospects, vendors and staff.
• Ability to collect, interpret and detect patterns in clean data.
• Organized with attention to detail and efficient systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute the Zoo’s annual fundraising events.
• Support multi-channel donor appeals and campaigns.
• Plan and implement donor acquisition, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
• Maintain data collection, tracking and analysis for the Development team.
• Collaborate across teams to promote special giving programs and initiatives.
• Coordinate donor collateral and annual reports with the team.
• Fulfill for Friends of the Wild program (unrestricted gifts $1,000+) including acknowledgments and benefits.
• Support onsite, print and digital donor recognition efforts.
• Plan cultivation and stewardship events in coordination with the team.
