Job summary

American Heart Association is hiring a Development Director for South Central PA, based in Harrisburg with hybrid work and local travel. The role focuses on generating revenue for the Go Red for Women campaign, including the signature Luncheon event.

The position offers an incentive-based pay structure up to 25% of base salary, plus comprehensive benefits and professional development opportunities. Ideal candidates have strong leadership and donor-relations experience.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or related field.
• University/College degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel locally up to 75% and occasional overnight trips; reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift/move large objects as needed; physical capability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorships and individual donations.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of sponsors and donors aligned with campaign goals.
• Develop and present proposals and materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
• Recruit executive volunteer leadership and day-of-event volunteers.
• Coordinate event auction and lead a volunteers committee to raise funds.
• Lead member engagement for Cor Vitae giving society and plan events.
• Plan events with internal and external partners.
• Support campaign communications with the Director.
