Job summary

American Heart Association in Nashville is seeking a Development Director to generate revenue for Go Red for Women and Impact Campaigns. This role is office-based with strong local travel and an incentive program up to 25% of base pay, focused on corporate sponsorships and donor relations.

You will recruit executive volunteers, lead peer-to-peer fundraising, and collaborate with internal teams to drive mission impact while maintaining CRM data and coordinating events.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising or related field.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel locally up to 75% and occasional overnight trips.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by securing local corporate sponsorships and individual donations.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of sponsors and donors aligned with campaign goals.
• Develop proposals and materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
• Recruit executive volunteer leadership and day-of-event volunteers.
• Lead Impact Campaigns by coaching volunteer leaders for fundraising and engagement.
• Lead membership growth for giving societies and plan engagement events.
• Plan events with internal and external partners.
• Support campaign communications with the Communications Director.
• Maintain accurate CRM and Microsoft data records.
