Idea Financial is seeking a seasoned MCA broker/closer to join our Direct sales team as a Funding Specialist. This customer-facing role focuses on managing a portfolio of merchants, driving activation, production, and retention at scale.

You will report to the Direct Dept Manager and collaborate with brokers to prospect, fund, and retain our growing client list. Success is defined by funded volume and monthly sales goals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in small business lending, commercial finance, or alternative lending.
• Prior broker or funder experience managing a portfolio of merchants or broker partners.
• Ability to juggle high-volume deals and maintain engagement.
• Strong knowledge of credit, bank statement analysis, and underwriting questions.
• Proven track record of hitting sales goals in a commission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of merchants and drive activation, retention, and renewals.
• Represent Idea Financial professionally in merchant interactions to deepen engagement and profitability.
• Educate applicants on products (Line of Credit and Term Loan) and submission requirements.
• Coordinate with underwriting teams to move deals from submission to funding.
• Position offers to merchants and troubleshoot stips in real time.
• Strategize with merchants to deliver a best-in-class experience and lender of choice.
• Use Salesforce to manage pipeline, log activity, and forecast accurately.
• Deliver timely responses and maintain borrower communication standards.
• Share feedback with leadership on merchant needs and product/process improvements.
