Job summary

Capital Group in San Francisco is seeking a Fundamental Research Group Associate to join our equity research team. You will work with Investment Professionals to deliver bottom-up analysis, build models, and generate investment ideas across a diverse coverage universe including small- and mid-cap names.

The role emphasizes collaboration, communication, travel for research trips, and ongoing development in data tools (Python/SQL, Tableau/PowerBI).

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in equity research, investment banking, consulting, accounting or related fields.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, STEM or a related field.
Strong financial modeling and bottom-up fundamental analysis skills.
Familiarity with Python and SQL; data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) a plus.
Experience collaborating with Investment Professionals and external advisors.
Ability to develop charts/visualizations to communicate insights.
Willingness to travel for research trips.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
