Brasa Capital Management seeks an Assistant Controller to own the accounting, financial reporting, and controls for the firm, its funds, and separately managed accounts. You will lead day-to-day finance operations and build scalable accounting processes to support growth.

The ideal candidate is technically strong, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage external service providers, supervise staff, and collaborate with the SVP and investment team to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance or Accounting required.
• 3-5 years of financial accounting or fund administration experience, including real estate private equity.
• Supervisory experience with staff, fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisors.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP for investment companies and real estate; proficient with valuation and partnership accounting.

Responsabilités

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close for the firm and funds.
• Review property-level and fund-level financials, explain variances.
• Oversee fund administrator relationships, NAV, and capital statements.
• Coordinate audit processes and tax returns; deliver K-1s.
• Manage quarterly valuations with the investment team and maintain supporting documentation.
• Ensure timely investor reports and metrics (IRR, DPI/TVPI).
• Coordinate and respond to investor data requests and due diligence.
