Job summary

3 Bridge Networks, in partnership with a private equity firm, seeks an Assistant Controller to oversee accounting for private equity funds and related entities with senior leadership exposure across the fund and finance function.

The role emphasizes ownership, process improvement, and collaboration with auditors, fund administrators, and external partners to support capital calls, distributions, management fees, and carried interest calculations.

Qualifications

• Approximately 6+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong private equity, venture capital, private credit, or alternative investment experience.
• Public accounting and/or fund administration experience is a plus.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of partnership accounting and investment fund structures.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable operating in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and reporting for private equity funds and related entities
• Review quarterly and annual financial statements, capital activity, and investor reporting
• Manage and review work performed by fund administrators and other third-party service providers
• Support capital calls, distributions, management fees, and carried interest calculations
• Coordinate with auditors, tax providers, and other external partners
• Assist with valuations, portfolio company activity, and investment-related accounting
• Help improve internal controls, reporting processes, and accounting procedures
• Partner closely with senior finance leadership on ad hoc projects and broader firm initiatives
• Mentor and review the work of junior accounting team members
