Job summary

A multi‑billion private equity firm in New York seeks an Assistant Controller for the Investment/Portfolio Team. Reporting to the CFO, you will manage fund accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting with a small but collaborative team.

Responsibilities include closing monthly/quarterly/annual books, preparing fund financials and P&L, and coordinating with the fund administrator and outside auditors on audits and tax.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Investment/Fund Financials.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's and CPA preferred.
• Experience in coordinating audits and tax with external firms.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead timely and accurate Investment Fund Financials including monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities, and financial analytics.
• Review and analyze preparation of Fund Financial Reports including Fund P&L.
• Budgeting and Forecasting.
• Work with fund administrator on waterfall calculations, timing of deliverables, performance reporting, and capital account statements.
• Collaborate with external CPA Firm on Audit and Tax.
