Job summary

Private Investment Firm in NYC seeks a Finance Manager/Assistant Controller to lead capital calls, reporting, and financial operations within the accounting team. The role reports to the CFO and covers tax, close, and investor reporting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in fund accounting or auditing, with real estate PE/debt exposure, a B.S. in Accounting, CPA, and Big 4 experience preferred. Proficiency in Excel and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting and CPA certification required.
• Big 4 experience preferred and SEC reporting knowledge.
• Experience with fund accounting, real estate PE and debt structures helpful.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff with capital calls, waterfalls, and quarterly/annual financials.
• Close process and financial reporting for Real Estate/PE Fund.
• Prepare expense and accrual analyses for quarterly reporting.
• Produce monthly NAV, allocations, and fund return reporting.
• Generate quarterly investor statements and assist in budgeting/forecasting.
• Manage cash flow forecasts and debt facilities oversight.
• Coordinate with CFO/Controller on firm reporting and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with fund credit facilities and portfolio asset reviews.
