Job summary

Obra Capital, Inc. in New York seeks a Director of Fund Accounting to lead a team, oversee fund accounting processes, and ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP.

You will coordinate with Operations, Investor Relations, Management Reporting, Tax, Legal and Compliance, and manage external fund administrators. You will own NAV finalization, review P&L and investor allocations, review fees, capital calls, distributions, and financial statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or above) in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
• 9+ years of relevant fund accounting experience.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Experience with Credit Products is preferred.
• Familiarity with Enfusion, Sage Intacct, and Expensify is advantageous.
• Possess a strong work ethic and maintain a positive team player attitude.
• Demonstrated excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills.
• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team overseeing the fund accounting and treasury function.
• Own NAV finalization including P&L and allocation to investors for open-ended and closed-ended private fund structures.
• Review and reconcile management and incentive fees per governing documents.
• Review capital calls, distributions, and notifications.
• Oversee quarterly and annual financial statements prepared by third party administrators.
• Coordinate with external auditors for year-end audit processes.
