Job summary

Obra Capital, Inc in New York is seeking a Vice President, Fund Accounting to maintain books and records for funds in accordance with U.S. GAAP and coordinate with a third-party administrator.

The role requires 6+ years of fund accounting experience, a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred, and familiarity with Enfusion and Sage Intacct. Strong detail orientation and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• At least 6+ years of fund accounting experience.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience with private funds and US GAAP is advantageous.
• Enfusion and Sage Intacct experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee NAV finalization, P&L reconciliation, and investor allocations.
• Review and reconcile management fees and incentive fees.
• Review capital calls, distributions, and notices.
• Approve client capital statements from third party administrators.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements per US GAAP with external auditors.
• Prepare monthly attribution reporting to senior management.
• Prepare fund forecasts, NAV estimates, and ad-hoc requests.
• Provide inputs for annual regulatory reporting and client reporting.
• Liaise with Operations, Investor Relations, Tax, and Legal & Compliance teams.
• Prepare and review expenses and budgets; manage vendor payments.
• Review fund documents and streamline processes and templates.
• Engage in special projects and firm strategic initiatives.
