Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 60 College Credit Hours or AA Degree or proof of passing a State-approved para-professional assessment.
• Social Security Card, valid photo ID and fingerprint clearance upon employment.

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom work under teacher guidance to support objectives.
• Administer evaluations to assist teacher in progress assessment.
• Provide first-aid and care to medically fragile students under supervision.
• Assist teachers and parents in implementing lesson plans and developing skills.
• Confer with teachers/parents to evaluate progress and objectives.
• Implement behavioral plans to support social and daily living skills.
• Support instructional programs and lesson plans under supervision.
• Maintain student records and ensure safe learning environment.
• Monitor students and activities to maintain safety and order.
• Perform clerical tasks and scheduling to support classroom materials.
