Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 60 college credits or AA degree or proof of passing a state-approved para-professional assessment.
• Social Security Card and valid picture ID.
• Proof of immunity to Measles and German Measles.
• Fingerprint/background clearance upon employment.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom work under direction to support objectives.
• Assists in evaluating student progress and needs.
• Provides first-aid and support to medically fragile students as assigned.
• Supports teachers and parents in implementing lesson plans and student skills.
• Maintains student records and supports a safe learning environment.
• Assists with clerical tasks and scheduling to help the teacher.
