Qualifications

• Associates degree or 60 semester hours or equivalent ParaPro/WorkKeys results.
• Prefer prior experience working with children.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain Level One IVP Fingerprint clearance.
• Ability to implement instructional support as directed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with planning, preparation, and distribution of classroom materials.
• Conduct learning games with students according to procedures.
• Supervise and instruct children; prepare materials and bulletin boards.
• Maintain attendance and comply with laws and district policies.
• Create a safe learning environment and address crises as needed.
• Provide individualized/small-group instruction to reinforce skills.
• Serve snacks and lunches as necessary.
• Attend workshops and trainings as directed.
