Job summary

Murray-Calloway County Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for full‑time, on‑site OB/nursing duties in Murray, KY. Under the direction of the OB nurse director or designated charge nurse, you will administer nursing care, participate in assessments, and contribute to care plans for gynecological, maternal and newborn patients.

Qualified candidates will be a Graduate of an accredited nursing program with BSN preferred and BLS certified.

Qualifications

• RN license required as applicable by Kentucky or compact states.
• BLS certification maintained is required.
• Minimum six months’ recent experience as a professional nurse preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer nursing care following the nursing process under supervision of the OB nurse director or charge nurse.
• Contribute to nursing assessments and care plan development and participate in evaluating nursing care.
• Provide quality care for gynecological, maternal and newborn patients and collaborate with other staff to reflect the hospital’s caring philosophy.

Job Description:

Under the direction of the O.B. nurse director and/or designated charge nurse demonstrates proficiency in administering the fundamentals of the nursing process, contributes to the nursing assessment and the development of the nursing care plan, and participates in the evaluation of nursing care. Shares responsibility for individual patients or an entire patient population.
Provides quality nursing care for gynecological, maternal and newborn patients. Cooperates with other professional staff to provide services that reflect the caring philosophy of the hospital.

Required Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered with Kentucky Board of Nursing or compact states
• BLS certification maintained.

Minimum Education:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred

Minimum Work Experience:

• Minimum of six (6) months' recent experience as a professional nurse preferred
