Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Night shift in the Emergency Department. You will supervise patient care under the Charge Nurse and Director, assess patients, diagnose needs, and plan and evaluate nursing care.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited RN program, KY or compact state RN license, BLS required, ACLS/PALS preferred, and at least six months of recent nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Accountability for supervision of patient care under direction of Charge Nurse/Director.
• Assessment, nursing diagnosis, and planning of care for assigned patients.
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred; graduate from accredited RN program.
• Six months of recent nursing experience preferred.

Job Description:

Has accountability for the supervision of patient care for assigned area/areas under direction of the area Charge Nurse, Supervisor and /or Director. Is responsible for assessment, nursing diagnosis (Problem identification) and planning the nursing care for those patients assigned to her/his care. Is responsible for implementing and evaluating the plan of care through performance and/or leadership of personnel. Adheres to and supports hospital and nursing policies. Understands disease process and treatment for patients in all age categories as defined by each department's scope of service with respect for cultural diversity. The job includes the responsibility to uphold the mission, vision, quality statements as well as the values as set forth by the organization.

Required Licenses and Certifications:

Registered with Kentucky Board of Nursing or compact states

• BLS certification maintained.
• ACLS certification Preferred
• PALS certification Preferred
• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Minimum of six (6) months' recent experience as a professional nurse preferred
