Children's Home Society in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a compassionate Full-Time Residential Youth Counselor to supervise and care for children in our residential program, providing trauma-informed support and guidance. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• 1–2 years of experience working with children, especially those with behavioral issues.

Responsibilities

• Child supervision and engaging activities; provide trauma-informed support.
• Collaborate with the treatment team and maintain unit cleanliness.
• Complete daily/weekly logs and incident reports; ensure handoffs.
• Follow safety policies; monitor calls and visits per therapist guidance.
• Attend annual training and weekly staff meetings; pursue quality goals.
