Job summary

MHA in Sussex County is seeking a Full Time Therapist to join our Wellness Hub Team. You will provide psychiatric urgent care with a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed approach and support through MI, CBT/DBT, and crisis interventions. Shift times: Mon 12PM-8PM, Tue-Fri 9AM-5PM.

Qualifications include an LCSW/LPC or comparable license with two years of experience (LAC/LSW considered). Base range: $70K-$80K with full medical coverage and strong retirement matching options.

• Provide Substance Use Treatment, Family Therapy and Group Therapy.
• Ability to educate individuals about mental illness and substance use issues, and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide MI and evidence-based services to support engagement and recovery.
• Crisis intervention/crisis stabilization and planning when indicated.
• Utilize CBT/DBT, IMR, mindfulness exercises, WRAP, and harm-reduction approaches.
• Integrate physical and mental health in treatment.
• Provide on-call services for in-person crisis care and telephonic support.
• Complete documentation showing consistent services and participate in staff meetings.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by Program Director.

Job description

MHA promotes mental health and total wellness for individuals facing challenges associated with mental illness and addiction recovery. We increase community awareness while enhancing mental well-being through advocacy, education, prevention, treatment, and services.

MHA is seeking a Full Time Therapist to join our Wellness Hub Team operating out of Sussex County! Be a part of the team that makes a difference in the lives of our consumers.

This position provides Psychiatric Urgent Care .

Shift Time Available: Monday 12PM-8PM , Tuesday - Friday 9AM-5PM

Qualifications:

• A LCSW/LPC or comparable license plus two years of experience. LAC/LSW may be considered with relevant experience.
• The ability to assess behavioral health needs and identify early warning signs of behavioral and physical health crises, using MHA’s bio-psycho-social assessment.
• The ability to provideSubstance Use Treatment, Family Therapy and Group Therapy.
• The ability to engage effectively with individuals, to educate individuals regarding mental illness and other functional impairments, to discuss substance abuse/dependence issues as well as educate individuals on these issues.
• Candidates must be able to communicate clearly through writing and verbally.

Responsibilities:

Uses culture competent, recovery-oriented and trauma informed services while using Motivational Interviewing and other evidenced-based practices to provide the following services:

• ProvideMI and other evidence-based services to support engagement and recovery and ensures that all services reflect SAMHSA's 10 Principles of Recovery and Eight Principles of Wellness and Recovery.
• UseMI to provide crisis intervention/crisis stabilization including crisis planning when indicated to help persons in need.
• UseMI evidence-based, skill-building services, including CBT/DBT; Illness Management & Recovery (IMR); Mindfulness/Relaxation exercises; WRAP support; and Harm-reduction to reduce emotional reactivity, reduce substance use, improve cognitive functioning, and improve health.
• Provide evidence-based services, including MI, CBT/DBT; IMR; Mindfulness/Relaxation exercises; WRAP support; and Harm-reduction to reduce emotional reactivity, reduce substance use, improve cognitive functioning, and health.
• Provideintegration of physical and mental health by addressing both in treatment.
• Provide on-call services to provide in-person crisis intervention/crisis stabilization, and telephonic support, and help individuals in need to access emergency meds, emergency respite, and emergency food.
• ProvideSubstance Use Treatment, Family Therapy and Group Therapy.
• Completeall required documentation showing consistent and effective provision of MI and other evidence-based services.
• Attendand participateactively in staff meetings.
• Complete additional tasks, as assigned by Program Director.

Annual Base Range: $70K-80K
