Job summary

MHA seeks a full-time Therapist to join the Wellness Hub team operating out of Sussex County. This role provides Psychiatric Urgent Care and supports recovery‑oriented, trauma‑informed services. Shift times include Monday 12PM-8PM and Tue-Fri 9AM-5PM.

Qualifications include LCSW/LPC or comparable license with two years of experience; ability to assess needs; and delivering MI, CBT/DBT, IMR, and group/family therapies. Competitive benefits and full medical coverage provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to assess behavioral health needs and risks using bio-psycho-social assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide MI and evidence-based services to support engagement and recovery.
• Perform crisis intervention and stabilization planning.
• Deliver CBT/DBT, IMR, mindfulness, WRAP, and harm-reduction interventions.
• Coordinate integration of physical and mental health care.
• Offer on-call in-person crisis intervention and telephonic support.
• Complete required documentation and attend staff meetings.

This position provides Psychiatric Urgent Care.
Shift Time Available: Monday 12PM-8PM , Tuesday - Friday 9AM-5PM

Qualifications:

• A LCSW/LPC or comparable license plus two years of experience. LAC/LSW may be considered with relevant experience.
• The ability to assess behavioral health needs and identify early warning signs of behavioral and physical health crises, using MHA’s bio-psycho-social assessment.
• The ability to provideSubstance Use Treatment, Family Therapy and Group Therapy.
• The ability to engage effectively with individuals, to educate individuals regarding mental illness and other functional impairments, to discuss substance abuse/dependence issues as well as educate individuals on these issues.
• Candidates must be able to communicate clearly through writing and verbally.

Responsibilities:

Uses culture competent, recovery-oriented and trauma informed services while using Motivational Interviewing and other evidenced-based practices to provide the following services:

• ProvideMI and other evidence-based services to support engagement and recovery and ensures that all services reflect SAMHSA's 10 Principles of Recovery and Eight Principles of Wellness and Recovery.
• UseMI to provide crisis intervention/crisis stabilization including crisis planning when indicated to help persons in need.
• UseMI evidence-based, skill-building services, including CBT/DBT; Illness Management & Recovery (IMR); Mindfulness/Relaxation exercises; WRAP support; and Harm-reduction to reduce emotional reactivity, reduce substance use, improve cognitive functioning, and improve health.
• Provide evidence-based services, including MI, CBT/DBT; IMR; Mindfulness/Relaxation exercises; WRAP support; and Harm-reduction to reduce emotional reactivity, reduce substance use, improve cognitive functioning, and health.
• Provide integration of physical and mental health by addressing both in treatment.
• Provide on-call services to provide in-person crisis intervention/crisis stabilization, and telephonic support, and help individuals in need to access emergency meds, emergency respite, and emergency food.
• ProvideSubstance Use Treatment, Family Therapy and Group Therapy.
• Complete all required documentation showing consistent and effective provision of MI and other evidence-based services.
• Attend and participate actively in staff meetings.
• Complete additional tasks, as assigned by Program Director.

Annual Base Range: $70K-80K
