Job summary

Mental-Health-Association seeks a Full Time Therapist to join our Wellness Hub Team operating out of Sussex County, NJ. This role provides Psychiatric Urgent Care and uses MI and evidence-based practices to support engagement and recovery.

Shift times include Mon 12PM-8PM and Tue-Fri 9AM-5PM; we offer medical coverage, 401(k) match, and generous paid time off. The position requires a licensed clinician with experience in crisis intervention and integrated care.

Qualifications

• Must have LCSW/LPC or comparable license plus two years of experience.
• Ability to assess behavioral health needs and crisis signs using bio-psycho-social assessment.
• Provide Substance Use Treatment, Family Therapy and Group Therapy.
• Communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Deliver MI and evidence-based services to support engagement and recovery.
• Provide crisis intervention/crisis stabilization and planning when indicated.
• Offer CBT/DBT, IMR, Mindfulness/Relaxation, WRAP and Harm-reduction services.
• Integrate physical and mental health in treatment plans.
• Provide on-call in-person crisis intervention and telephonic support.
• Deliver Substance Use Treatment, Family Therapy and Group Therapy.
• Complete documentation showing MI and other services.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in team activities.
• Complete tasks as assigned by Program Director.

MHA is seeking a Full Time Therapistto join our Wellness Hub Team operating out of Sussex County! Be a part of the team that makes a difference in the lives of our consumers.

Shift Time Available: Monday 12PM-8PM , Tuesday - Friday 9AM-5PM

This position provides Psychiatric Urgent Care.

Qualifications

• A LCSW/LPC or comparable license plus two years of experience. LAC/LSW may be considered with relevant experience.
• The ability to assess behavioral health needs and identify early warning signs of behavioral and physical health crises, using MHA’s bio-psycho-social assessment.
• The ability to provideSubstance Use Treatment, Family Therapy and Group Therapy.
• The ability to engage effectively with individuals, to educate individuals regarding mental illness and other functional impairments, to discuss substance abuse/dependence issues as well as educate individuals on these issues.
• Candidates must be able to communicate clearly through writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

Uses culture competent, recovery-oriented and trauma informed services while using Motivational Interviewing and other evidenced-based practices to provide the following services:

• ProvideMI and other evidence-based services to support engagement and recovery and ensures that all services reflect SAMHSA's 10 Principles of Recovery and Eight Principles of Wellness and Recovery.
• UseMI to provide crisis intervention/crisis stabilization including crisis planning when indicated to help persons in need.
• UseMI evidence-based, skill-building services, including CBT/DBT; Illness Management & Recovery (IMR); Mindfulness/Relaxation exercises; WRAP support; and Harm-reduction to reduce emotional reactivity, reduce substance use, improve cognitive functioning, and improve health.
• Provide evidence-based services, including MI, CBT/DBT; IMR; Mindfulness/Relaxation exercises; WRAP support; and Harm-reduction to reduce emotional reactivity, reduce substance use, improve cognitive functioning, and health.
• Provideintegration of physical and mental health by addressing both in treatment.
• Provide on-call services to provide in-person crisis intervention/crisis stabilization, and telephonic support, and help individuals in need to access emergency meds, emergency respite, and emergency food.
• ProvideSubstance Use Treatment, Family Therapy and Group Therapy.
• Completeall required documentation showing consistent and effective provision of MI and other evidence-based services.
• Attendand participateactively in staff meetings.
• Complete additional tasks, as assigned by Program Director.

Annual Base Range: $70K-80K
