Job summary

Mental Health Association in Sussex County seeks a Full Time Therapist for our Wellness Hub team. This role focuses on psychiatric urgent care and recovery-oriented services. Shifts include Monday 12PM-8PM and Tue-Fri 9AM-5PM.

Reports to Wellness HUB/EISS Program Director. The position offers a base salary range and comprehensive benefits, including paid medical coverage and a generous retirement match.

Qualifications

• Active LCSW or LPC license (or equivalent) and 2+ years of experience.
• Ability to assess behavioral health needs using bio-psycho-social approach.
• Experience in Substance Use, Family Therapy, and Group Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide MI and evidence-based services to support recovery.
• Deliver crisis intervention and stabilization.
• Offer CBT/DBT, IMR, mindfulness, WRAP, and harm-reduction services.
• Integrate physical and mental health in treatment.
• Complete documentation and participate in staff meetings.
• Attend program director oversight and perform additional tasks.

MHA promotes mental health and total wellness for individuals facing challenges associated with mental illness and addiction recovery. We increase community awareness while enhancing mental well-being through advocacy, education, prevention, treatment, and services.

MHA is seeking a Full Time Therapist to join our Wellness Hub Team operating out of Sussex County! Be a part of the team that makes a difference in the lives of our consumers.

This position provides Psychiatric Urgent Care.

Shift Time Available: Monday 12PM-8PM , Tuesday - Friday 9AM-5PM

Qualifications:

• A LCSW/LPC or comparable license plus two years of experience. LAC/LSW may be considered with relevant experience.
• The ability to assess behavioral health needs and identify early warning signs of behavioral and physical health crises, using MHA’s bio-psycho-social assessment.
• The ability to provideSubstance Use Treatment, Family Therapy and Group Therapy.
• The ability to engage effectively with individuals, to educate individuals regarding mental illness and other functional impairments, to discuss substance abuse/dependence issues as well as educate individuals on these issues.
• Candidates must be able to communicate clearly through writing and verbally.

Responsibilities:

Uses culture competent, recovery-oriented and trauma informed services while using Motivational Interviewing and other evidenced-based practices to provide the following services:

• ProvideMI and other evidence-based services to support engagement and recovery and ensures that all services reflect SAMHSA's 10 Principles of Recovery and Eight Principles of Wellness and Recovery.
• UseMI to provide crisis intervention/crisis stabilization including crisis planning when indicated to help persons in need.
• UseMI evidence-based, skill-building services, including CBT/DBT; Illness Management & Recovery (IMR); Mindfulness/Relaxation exercises; WRAP support; and Harm-reduction to reduce emotional reactivity, reduce substance use, improve cognitive functioning, and improve health.
• Provide evidence-based services, including MI, CBT/DBT; IMR; Mindfulness/Relaxation exercises; WRAP support; and Harm-reduction to reduce emotional reactivity, reduce substance use, improve cognitive functioning, and health.
• Provideintegration of physical and mental health by addressing both in treatment.
• Provideon-call services to provide in-person crisis intervention/crisis stabilization, and telephonic support, and help individuals in need to access emergency meds, emergency respite, and emergency food.
• ProvideSubstance Use Treatment, Family Therapy and Group Therapy.
• Completeall required documentation showing consistent and effective provision of MI and other evidence-based services.
• Attendand participateactively in staff meetings.
• Complete additional tasks, as assigned by Program Director.

Annual Base Range: $70K-80K
