Job summary

Mental Health Association seeks a Full Time Therapist for its Wellness Hub in Sussex County, GA. The role provides Psychiatric Urgent Care with shift coverage Monday 12PM-8PM, Tue-Fri 9AM-5PM.

Ideal candidates hold an LCSW/LPC or comparable license with two years of experience, and can deliver MI, CBT/DBT, IMR, mindfulness, and harm-reduction services. Strong communication and crisis intervention skills are required.

Qualifications

• LCSW/LPC or comparable license with two years of relevant experience.
• Ability to assess behavioral health needs using bio-psycho-social assessment.
• Provide Substance Use Treatment, Family Therapy and Group Therapy.
• Engage and educate individuals about mental illness and related issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide MI and evidence-based services to support engagement and recovery.
• Crisis intervention/crisis stabilization including planning when indicated.
• Deliver MI-based services, CBT/DBT, IMR, mindfulness and WRAP.
• Integrate physical and mental health in treatment.
• Provide on-call crisis intervention and access to emergency medications.
• Deliver Substance Use Treatment, Family Therapy and Group Therapy.
• Complete documentation showing MI and evidence-based services.
• Attend staff meetings and participate actively.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by Program Director. Annual base range: $70K-80K

MHA promotes mental health and total wellness for individuals facing challenges associated with mental illness and addiction recovery. We increase community awareness while enhancing mental well-being through advocacy, education, prevention, treatment, and services.

MHA is seeking a Full Time Therapist to join our Wellness Hub** Team operating out of Sussex County!**Be a part of the team that makes a difference in the lives of our consumers.

This position provides Psychiatric Urgent Care.

Shift Time Available: Monday 12PM-8PM , Tuesday - Friday 9AM-5PM

Qualifications

• A LCSW/LPC or comparable license plus two years of experience. LAC/LSW may be considered with relevant experience.
• The ability to assess behavioral health needs and identify early warning signs of behavioral and physical health crises, using MHA’s bio-psycho-social assessment.
• The ability to provideSubstance Use Treatment, Family Therapy and Group Therapy.
• The ability to engage effectively with individuals, to educate individuals regarding mental illness and other functional impairments, to discuss substance abuse/dependence issues as well as educate individuals on these issues.
• Candidates must be able to communicate clearly through writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

Uses culture competent, recovery-oriented and trauma informed services while using Motivational Interviewing and other evidenced-based practices to provide the following services:

• ProvideMI and other evidence-based services to support engagement and recovery and ensures that all services reflect SAMHSA’s 10 Principles of Recovery and Eight Principles of Wellness and Recovery.
• UseMI to provide crisis intervention/crisis stabilization including crisis planning when indicated to help persons in need.
• UseMI evidence-based, skill-building services, including CBT/DBT; Illness Management & Recovery (IMR); Mindfulness/Relaxation exercises; WRAP support; and Harm-reduction to reduce emotional reactivity, reduce substance use, improve cognitive functioning, and improve health.
• Provide evidence-based services, including MI, CBT/DBT; IMR; Mindfulness/Relaxation exercises; WRAP support; and Harm-reduction to reduce emotional reactivity, reduce substance use, improve cognitive functioning, and health.
• Provideintegration of physical and mental health by addressing both in treatment.
• Provide on-call services to provide in-person crisis intervention/crisis stabilization, and telephonic support, and help individuals in need to access emergency meds, emergency respite, and emergency food.
• ProvideSubstance Use Treatment, Family Therapy and Group Therapy.
• Completeall required documentation showing consistent and effective provision of MI and other evidence-based services.
• Attendand participateactively in staff meetings.
• Complete additional tasks, as assigned by Program Director.
  Annual Base Range: $70K-80K
